How to create user profiles in MyDisplay?

With MyDisplay, you can create individual user profiles to define access rights, languages, and functions for different teams or roles. This ensures that each user only sees the relevant content and features.

Steps to create a new user profile:

  1. Go to ConnectedCooking
  2. Navigate:
Click on Device Managementbreadcrumb dividerMyDisplaybreadcrumb dividerOverview
Here you can see all created MyDisplays.
  3. Select MyDisplay:
Click on the desired MyDisplay where you want to add user profiles.
  4. Check main user:
    • By default, there is a main user with full access to the cooking system.
    • Here you can set the profile name, language, and optionally a password.
  5. Add a new user profile:
    • Click the “plus icon” next to the main user.
    • Enter a profile name (e.g., “Kitchen Team”) and select the language.
    • Optionally, set a password.
  6. Advanced settings:
    • Rights and functions:
      • Can the user adjust cooking parameters during the process?
      • Should the profile have restricted rights?
      • Is switching between profiles allowed?
      • Can the user edit or create screens?
    • Customize menu bar:
      • Define which menus are visible on the cooking system (e.g., only “Breakfast” and “Lunch/Dinner”).
    • iProductionManager and iCookingSuite:
      • Specify which functions are displayed and operable.
    • Footer:
      • Should a Help button be displayed?
    • System settings:
      • Define which system settings the user can modify.
  7. Save:
Confirm the settings to create the profile.

On the cooking system, you can now switch between different profiles. Each profile displays its assigned screens and menus.
