How to enable Multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication is only available for accounts that are not linked via social login or Single Sign On (SSO) e.g. Google and Apple.

Multi-factor authentication provides additional security for your account by adding another factor for authentication.


Enable Multi-factor authentication

  1. Go to appDrawerApp Drawerbreadcrumb dividerAccountbreadcrumb dividerSecurity
  2. Tap the Multi-factor authentication Toggle
  3. Read the instructions and tap Set up MFA
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Tap Continue with setup
  6. (Option 1) Scan the QR code with any Authenticator App that you like. You can find them in the Play Store or the App Store.
  7. (Option 2) Tap Can't scan the QR code? and copy the secret to your Authenticator App or password manager
  8. Tap I have scanned the code
  9. Write down the Recovery code in a secure place e.g. your password manager
  10. Tap I saved the code
  11. Enter the code from your Authenticator App or password manager
  12. Tap Finish
