The Remote function in ConnectedCooking allows you to monitor and control compatible RATIONAL units remotely. This requires an active connection between the unit and ConnectedCooking and the Remote Access setting enabled on the device.
1. Check and activate settings on the unit
- On the unit, go to System Settings
- Scroll down and select ConnectedCooking
- Enable the option Allow remote access
- Make sure the unit is connected to ConnectedCooking
2. Start Remote Access in ConnectedCooking
- Log in to ConnectedCooking
- Go to Device Management

- Click on Start remote control in the top right corner
3. Control the unit remotely
- A pop-up window appears, and you can remotely control the appliance directly, e.g. start a cooking programme
- Your ConnectedCooking account remains open in the background. If you click next to the pop-up window, the remote control is closed
Important notes:
For iVario, remote control is not possible due to safety reasons. Only screen mirroring is available.
The local operator at the unit has priority. Local actions can override or interrupt remote commands at any time.
