The temperature sensors WTS-10, WTS-11, and WTS-12 are designed for wireless temperature monitoring in commercial kitchens, storage areas, or during transport. They operate using the LoRaWAN communication protocol and transmit measured values to a connected gateway.
Description and Functionality
- WTS-10: Internal sensor for ambient temperature
- WTS-11: Internal and external probe for manual food temperature measurement
(Only the temperature of the external probe is transmitted to ConnectedCooking) - WTS-12: Includes light detection for door monitoring
All devices include:
- Button for mode control (activation/deactivation)
- Multi-color LED indicator
- LoRaWAN data transmission (uplink every 20 minutes)
- Power supply via fixed lithium-ion battery (lifetime up to 10 years)
Setup Steps
- Unpacking and Visual Inspection
- Unpack the device, check completeness and condition
- Register Device in ConnectedCooking
- Read the serial number and enter it under Hygiene Management > Sensors > "+ Add"
- Placing the Device
- Clean the mounting spot (defrost freezers first)
- Attach adhesive pad to mount, remove foil
- Place mount and insert the device
- Activation
- Press button >3 seconds until LED blinks green 5×
- Device connects and begins data transmission
- Optional Use of WTS-11
- Remove cap, insert probe into food
- Temperature is recorded and transmitted
Data Analysis
- View temperature data, statistics, and signal strength in ConnectedCooking
- Option to export data for manual analysis
Important Notes
- Use only alkaline cleaning agents
- Deactivate the device for transport or storage. (Press the button 5× until red LED lights up continuously)
- Dispose via appropriate collection points, do not remove battery
