Step 1) Check the software version of the device
In order for your device to communicate with ConnectedCooking, you need at least software version LM100-16.2.25 (iCombiPro) or LMX-2.10.0 (iVario Pro). Follow these steps to check the software version of your device.
Step 2) Connect the device to the Internet
In order to connect your device with ConnectedCooking you first have to connect the device to the internet. You can do this either via a physical (LAN) connect or a wireless connection (WLAN).
Step 3) Connect your device to ConnectedCooking
Step 3.1) Connect via user credentials
The easiest and fastest way to connect a device to ConnectedCooking is to register directly on the device.
- Tap on the Settings icon
- Select the ConnectedCooking entry
- Tap on Log in with my ConnectedCooking Account
- Next tap on Account login
- Enter the E-mail address of your user
- Enter the Password of the user
- Choose a name for the device
- Tap the checkmark icon
Once the activation was successfully, you will see a green Login successful message. Your device will now appear in ConnectedCooking device list.
Step 3.2) Connect via Activation code
If you dont want to connect the device via your username and password directly on the device then please follow these steps:
- Tap on the Settings icon
- Select the ConnectedCooking entry
- Tap on Log in with my ConnectedCooking Account
- Next tap on QR code login
- Now you will see an Activation code (e.g. 111-111-111)
- Note down the Activation code
Do not leave the device screen, otherwise the device will generate a new code and the current code will no longer be valid.
Step 3.2.1) Add the device via the ConnectedCooking App
The easiest and most convenient way to add a device is via the ConnectedCooking app. Please follow these steps to add a device via the app:
- Open the ConnectedCooking App
- Tap Devices in the bottom bar
- Tap the plus icon
- Either type in the Activation Code or tap on the scan icon on the end of the feld (you will have to give camera access to the App in order to use the scan function)
- Enter a name for the device
- Check that you agree to the privacy terms
- Tap Save
Once the activation was successfully, you will see a green Login successful message. Your device will now appear in ConnectedCooking device list.
Step 3.2.2) Add the device via your Browser
If you have not installed the app or do not wish to use it, open your web browser and follow these steps:
- Open ConnectedCooking and go to Asset Management
My DevicesDevice Overview or click here - Tap Add
- Enter a name for the device
- Enter the Activation Code
- (Optional) Select the group of the device
- Check that you agree to the privacy terms
- Tap Save
Once the activation was successfully, you will see a green Login successful message. Your device will now appear in ConnectedCooking device list.
