About Cooking Programs

Cooking programs are predefined cooking settings tailored to specific RATIONAL units such as iCombi, iVario, SelfCookingCenter, etc..

Each cooking program contains precise parameters that ensure consistent and high-quality cooking results. These parameters typically include temperature, cooking time, humidity, and fan speed, depending on the unit type.

Cooking programs can be stored centrally and distributed to all connected units via ConnectedCooking. This ensures standardized cooking procedures across multiple kitchens and devices, regardless of their physical location. Over 14,000 tested and verified recipes and cooking programs are available in ConnectedCooking.

Key Characteristics of Cooking Programs

  • Unit-specific Configuration: Cooking programs are tailored to specific RATIONAL unit types. A program created for an iCombi Pro can only be used on another iCombi Pro, and not on an iVario Pro, for example.
  • Standardization: Ensures consistent food quality by using the same predefined cooking process across different devices.
  • Central Management: Programs can be centrally created, edited, and distributed via ConnectedCooking.
  • Image Support: Each cooking program can have an image added to make identification easier both in ConnectedCooking and directly on the device.

Customer Benefits

  • Predefined Settings: Optimized parameters for specific dishes or processes (temperature, time, humidity, speed).
  • Distribution: Programs can be sent to connected units regardless of location.
  • Consistency: Uniform preparation across devices for standardized food quality.
  • Efficiency: Reduces manual setup effort and saves time in daily operations.
  • Energy Efficiency: Intelligent programs help minimize energy consumption.
  • Maximum Performance: RATIONAL cooking units can operate at their full potential thanks to optimized cooking processes.

How to Transfer a Cooking Program to a RATIONAL Unit

  1. Create or Copy a Cooking Program: Either create a new program for your company or copy one from the Inspiration section into your company profile.
  2. Select and Send or Transfer:
    • Select the appropriate program.
    • Send the program directly to connected units via ConnectedCooking.
    • Alternatively, download the program and transfer it manually using a USB stick.

This process ensures seamless and efficient distribution of cooking programs across all relevant RATIONAL units in your organization.
