How long does it take until a gateway or sensor is shown as offline?
A gateway is marked as offline if no data has been received within 60 minutes.
For sensors, the threshold is 3 hours.
How often are sensor data collected and stored?
Data is recorded by the sensors every 20 minutes by default and stored in ConnectedCooking.
How long does a sensor collect data during a connection loss?
After losing connection to the gateway, sensors will continue to collect data for up to 48 hours. These values can be transferred to ConnectedCooking once the connection is restored.
How do I register sensors and gateways in ConnectedCooking?
Sensors and gateways are registered via the Hygiene Management -> Sensors -> Overview tab using the "+ Add" function in the ConnectedCooking web interface.
Follow the steps displayed to activate the devices in ConnectedCooking.
What is the temperature range of the sensors?
The sensors can record values in the range of -40°C to +70°C.
What are the network requirements for gateways?

What should I consider when using VLANs?
Dynamic VLAN assignment can cause connectivity issues. Assign the VLAN to the gateway manually (static).
Is 802.1x supported by gateways?
802.1x is currently not supported.
Use open ports or MAC-based authentication instead.
What do the LED codes on the gateway mean?
- Solid green: Connection active
- Blinking green: Establishing connection
- Red: Connection error or no network connection
- Blue: Reset in progress

What can I do if a gateway is offline?
Check the power supply, network connection, and signal strength of the gateway.
Ensure no firewall or network settings are blocking access.
Perform a restart if necessary or contact support at cc-support@rational-online.com.
What can I do if a sensor is offline?
Check if the LED reacts when the sensor is powered on and whether a value is sent to ConnectedCooking.
If signal strength is weak, turn the sensor off and on again to calibrate to the current distance from the gateway. (Turn off: tap the power button 5 times | Turn on: hold the power button until the green LED starts blinking)
