How to perform a manual update on the WGT-11

Overview

By default, the WGT-11 can automatically download updates. However, it is also possible to update the WGT-11 manually. This is necessary, for example, if you want to install updates in a controlled manner.

You can find news about updates on our What is new in ConnectedCooking - ConnectedCooking page or via email if you have “Receive Info Emails” enabled.

Requirements

Gateway access to “*.connectedcooking.com” via Port 443
Computer connected to the WGT-11 web interface

Steps for the manual update:

Connection to the gateway:
- Connect to the gateway using one of the following methods:
Connection via Wi-Fi:
- Connect to the SSID: rational-xxxxxx
- Password: rational1234
- Open in your browser: http://10.130.1.1
Connection via the LAN network:
- Connect to the network where the gateway is integrated
- Find the IP address of the gateway on your network
- Open in Browser: http://IP-ADDRESS-OF-GATEWAY
Direct connection via network cable:
- Connect your laptop directly to the WGT-11 using an RJ45 network cable
- Configure your laptop as follows:
- - IP-Address: 172.31.255.253
  - Subnet mask: 255.255.255.252
- Open in Browser: http://172.31.255.254
➔ Login: Log in using the default credentials or your own:
User: root
Password: dragino
Package Management Settings:
- In the navigation bar, select the “System” menu item, then “Package Management”

- If desired, uncheck the box next to “Enable update Daily midnight/Each Boot” and then click “SAVE”

- If a new update is available, click “Manual_Update.”

Do not disconnect the device from the power supply during the update.
